Student Placement

It is our desire that classes be heterogeneous in nature. The responsibility for class placement rests solely with staff; therefore, it is our policy not to accept requests for placement of a student with a preferred teacher. We seek to have the appropriate balance in our classes and attempt to ensure that students are placed in an environment that is beneficial to both the individual student and the group as a whole. Any grade-level adjustments must be made within the first twenty days of school, providing that the student also meets the MPCS age requirements for the considered grade level. Per new Georgia legislation, all incoming preschool three-year-old applicants must have his/her three-year birthday by September 1.
